Christmas Morning Pandoro French Toast

  • 4 wedges from Pandoro cake (sliced to your preference)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup 1% milk (or any type of milk you prefer)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • ¼ tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • butter for pan
  1. Heat a nonstick buttered pancake griddle on medium heat.
  2. In a pie dish, beat the egg into the milk and mix together with the cinnamon, nutmeg and zest.
  3. Dip each slice of cake into the batter and transfer to the griddle.
  4. Cook for about 1-2 minute on each side until golden.
  5. Serve with powdered sugar, fruit and syrup.
